The rune alphabets were used by Germanic tribes for many years before the Latin writing systems superceded them. The Scandanavian versions were known as the futharks, named after the first six rune symbols used. Here we list the three rune systems that we have drawn from as inspiration, along with the rune meanings. This is not an exhaustive list but does cover the two main Scandanavian rune alphabets.
